News from Australia

First weekend spent in Melbourne, then drove via Canberra to Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains on Monday 25th July for an overnight stay. Saw our first wild kangaroos of this trip on the Tuesday morning - they tried to get into the car through the open window, but we got it closed in time (the biscuits were the attraction). Tuesday night was in Woolongong - just south of Sydney on the coast. Wednesday, Thursday were spent exploring the Blue Mountains outside Sydney - stayed in Katoomba. Friday and today were spent exploring Sydney. I'm going to jog around the opera house & harbour bridge tomorrow, Sunday. Monday we are off up north probably to Port McQuarrie and then onto Byron Bay for a few days. Weather is absolutely fantastic for this time of year - clear blue skys and 20 Celcius in Sydney over day.
First photo is Sydney, then Melbourne, then Blue Mountains then Canberra War Memorial from the Parliament. The last photo is on its side, showing Ilona descending the cliff side on our day walking 'in the bush' in the Blue Mountains.
More to come later.
