Collieston

A cold sunday lunch time at Collieston harbour with the wind from the east and a wintry light. Then on to Cruden Bay & Slains Castle which inspired Bram Stoker's imagination with visions of his creation 'Drakula' when he stayed at the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel which I was accustomed to visiting of a weekend when an impoverished student at Aberdeen University to partake of the hospitality and generosity of the inn keepers who fortunately as well as owning the hotel were my uncle and aunt (Angus & Madge Carmichael) and didn't ever mention payment!
