Happy Families

The new arrival. With the same birthday as her dad she is just a sagittarian (as compared to being nearly a capricorn). Her horoscope today advises that 'Mercury is in Sagittarius and is about to offer her an education while (she may not know it but) she is in a much more powerful position than she realises'. With two doctors as parents this can be loosely translated into meaning one of them is just about to stick a thermometer into her to check her temperature, which she may find she doesn't like, while she obviously already (without yet realising it) has them all twisted round her little finger. Mum and dad and paternal grandmother in photos.

Collieston

A cold sunday lunch time at Collieston harbour with the wind from the east and a wintry light. Then on to Cruden Bay & Slains Castle which inspired Bram Stoker's imagination with visions of his creation 'Drakula' when he stayed at the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel which I was accustomed to visiting of a weekend when an impoverished student at Aberdeen University to partake of the hospitality and generosity of the inn keepers who fortunately as well as owning the hotel were my uncle and aunt (Angus & Madge Carmichael) and didn't ever mention payment!

Snow in Aberdeenshire

Back in the north east and it's white. Glasgow wasn't, Perth wasn't. I'd forgotten how cold it can be here.

The Subaru Impreza

Still going well. Ready for Ilona's surf planks and snow boards on top. Gets me around when I'm across in Holland too.

Graduation in Leiden

Enjoyed Ilona's graduation at Leiden University on the 30th November. Weather was nice, dry and cool. Went jogging in the dunes at my favourite locations on Friday & Saturday - tegenover hotel duinoord en het rondje van meijendel (rond de hek). Times were ok seeing as how it was the first time since in Aviemore (back problems in the in between period).
